Why don't we project our true self

There has been many situations where I thought I could have been a bit more truthful. So question comes naturally, why don't we speak truth.
We generally don't, because we fear that people may not accept us the way we are and hence we do so many things that are out of our true nature bringing enough stress to keep up our projected image.
But is it a better compromise ? Absolutely Not. We bring stress in our day-to-day life , meaning our productivity would naturally suffer. And those relationships which have base on false or unnatural feelings will die soon. So what are we going to achieve .. nothing.
Hence, it is important for us to think clearly about what we want and what we do not want. And act accordingly. We must not hesitate to speak truth because hesitation will augment fear. And Fear will make a person impatient and hence mind loses it's stability and hence it's constructive framework.
So what is important is to recognize very small things that affect our lives. Where ever you go , you must never hesitate to speak truth . We must also be brave and confident enough to face the world and it's subtleties.

Take Away Message : Never hesitate, whatever be the situation.

At the expense of What?

Sometimes I feel what must have a man done to really succeed so much? I know it's only the actions for which one is reaping it's fruit. Be it bad or good.
It's only our past actions that would lead to happiness or sorrow. If that were the case, question is how should we act?
We must act in a way that pleases GOD.
Are you ready to walk with a friend who stands for the right cause , whom world opposes?
Atleast , are you ready to share a friend's grief?
Can you make a person happy by your presence?
How many people might have breathed easy because you have lived?
How much have you laughed heartily when everyone could join you and when no one is hurted?

Sometimes it becomes important for us to know , what kind of world we are living in.
If someone comes to you and asks for your help , would you say no?
Is it really wise to give when someone is not really asking?

Who is living a life full of pleasure and at the expense of who?
I am living a luxurious life today because I get scholarship from IISc. That of course comes from tax payers money. If carefully thought, in India tax payers are supposed to be doing their duty well. So , I am getting paid from the money that which has been earned by those who are duty minded and has done some good to the country. But there are others involved in this too. Living a life that is supposed to be full of responsibilities , how can one neglect what he has to do in justice to what he receives?

Someone's Seeing

All these days , I was comfortably blogging because there's no one following it. Maybe from now, I might be writing as if someone is watching. Which means there might be a change in narrations. But I should try as much as I can to keep this natural.
Okay. So the latest stuff is this -- What have I learned today? It's easy to receive. But it's hard to give.
These days I am trying to be in Solitude with the right mix of people at hand.
Previously my definition of solitude has been to keep the whole world out of my sight and have a pleasant feeling that no one is bothered and also is not bothering me too.
Now my definition of solitude has changed. I will be with people. But now I will receive as much as I can. I will listen as much as I can. I will learn as much as I can. I will think as much as I can. I will inspire as much as I can. I will interest people as much as I can. I will encourage people as much as I can. I will be patient to the levels I can and will try to push limits.

I will not encourage and will not laugh at people. I will not ridicule/ criticize people. I will try not to fear anyone and anything. I will not wish anything. I will not ask anything.
I will try to take whatever comes my way. Hence making life more meaningful and productive.

Is someone seeing this post? I thought someone is seeing this and hence this question popped out of my mind.

My passions

I must admit that one of my greatest passions has been on Yoga and Meditation. I am truly inspired and have so many Childish fantasies on Yogi's capabilities.
For e.g., A yogi who reads books in flash of a second. A yogi who learns everything in the world. A yogi who knows everything and yet keeps quiet, does only what he needs to do and nothing else.
A yogi who experiences 'Ananda' , rejoices that his life's purpose has been known and works for it.
A yogi who truly knows who his guru is.
I want to really know if there is anything called 'Ananda' which is permanent and forever. This is because the materialistic world I live has no guarantees on Happiness and I know that very well. Though sometimes the 'Maya' takes over my mind.
How in this modern world, must a yogi be?
How does a yogi looks like , if he is into serious research work?
Does a yogi needs to do any research if he already has known everything?
How can we be in our own society and do meditation in nights ?
Is there anything in the world called 'A Call' from some heavens up there?
What would be like if we really have a chance to be what we wanted to be?

When I was a child, I always wanted to do 'Tapas' and meet God. I don't know why.
I wanted to be as good as Sai Baba.

Is there a call from God? Am I now in a position to bear anything?
I do not know. I can take any sorrow that is like on worldly possessions.
I am not sure if I can take as many pains as Bhagat Singh took. As much torture as Our Indian soldiers took from Pakistani army.

I can understand some crimes in the world.
So this concept has come now , because there is some concept of taking pains before acheiving something so Big, which is actually the purpose of life.

It's a pain only when we are not ready for it. When we get ready to anything then we are know almost no pain. But God has his ways to make someone ready.

What have I learnt in IISc

Lesson 1 : Shut UP !! And 90% of my problems are solved!!!!
Lesson 2 : It should be okay to sit like a dog and take whatever people say.
Lesson 3 : Humility is important. However successful a man becomes, it doesn't really matter because it is not us who are doing it , but it is Him who is driving us.
Lesson 4 : We are always subjected to various tests of time and our victory over those determines the true way of living a life.

Character is important for a person without which nothing seems like success.
Simple Geeta message to me:
Desire for sense objects --> Anger --> Impatience --> Unstable mind --> Destruction of Man.
Instead do this -
Have no Desire --> Just do your duty without any attachment --> No emotions --> Peace is established --> Such a mind's stability is found instantly --> Such a stable mind's intelligence is soon established
Root cause of Ego is Desire for Sense objects and frequent realization of material possessions. Try to imagine if you have nothing , would you still be so egoistic? Of course not.
One must always to be duty minded. One should not have any attachment to not do his duty.

Friends -- Very important in a man's life.
One should know how to gel up with a lot of different people. Sense of humor and it's timing is very important.
When should we talk and when we should not --
I have learned that one should only talk when necessary. Also one should be sensible in what he speaks.
Sitting like dog can be quite productive. Whatever people say to you, you will gain advantage over those who hurt you. => How ?
One says because it pleases him , or it pleases others and hence himself ==> If he hurt you he said it because he wanted petty laughs .. he submitted himself to something lower ==> He also gave us a chance to forgive him and become strong. Because only stronger people can forgive. Weak can never forgive. Forgiving a person completely will make us stronger mentally and it implies that we are not so weak to submit ourselves to petty things in nature.
One's Love for God and his people will make us more tolerant to things.
Love all , not for anyone's sake ==> but for your own.
I remember Buddha's saying " You , yourself alone need your own love and care"
Being duty minded will not only keep you on the right track but also on a path that leads to Happiness.
I used to think that Money and Awards would destroy a man's capability --> But it is not so. It's only that our responsibilities increase with growing reputation and if we do not care for those responsibilities then we are into the path of destruction.
Learnt this from Mahabharat :
With knowledge of one's self , one would realize how less he knows => One would develop humility ==> With humility , one develops True Character => With Character one would earn Wealth => When that wealth is used for Right purposes , this would lead to Happiness

Learning!

One day Dada Bhai has come to my room. That was indeed in some sense a breakthrough in my IISc life. He brought light to life that is bored , perplexed and strayed from it's purpose.
While I was talking to him, he suddenly expressed his views on what he thinks about his friends. He stated Varma as example and said everyone has to think Big. He focused on how Varma thinks and how justified it is. He famously quoted " Thinking small is crime". It rang bells in my mind.
My mind too started to inquire about what is possible and what is not. Then I started to learn from my friends just as Dada bhai learned from his friends.
I have learnt that no matter who you are , one has to do exercise to keep one's body and mind healthy. Then I realized that Chaitu does 'SuryaNamaskar' daily. Then I thought "if someone who is almost as capable as I, is doing in front of my own eyes .. how can't I learn from him ?' . Then I asserted myself "I must learn something good from my friends and outside".
When I decided that I must go to IISc , then my motivation was to re-learn the time when I was succesful. I thought how one should think to be successful in life.
I remembered those thoughts and now , I feel my own purpose is to learn something from the greats. To learn what way they think.
In that sense, one part of my coming to IISc is fulfilled. What is left is to put in practice those noble ideas.
Right now, I was thinking about how humility plays a role in a man's success.
I have learnt how confidence is important in a man's life and also how important it is to preserve it.
